Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds (DAF) are the fastest-growing giving method and a tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations. DAFs allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants through the fund over time.

A DAF allows you to serve JW House families, as well as give back to other causes close to your heart, with a flexibility to tailor your philanthropic giving.

You can partner with JW House to serve families in medical crises through your DAF and enable them to stay close when they need each other the most.

How to recommend a gift to JW House through your DAF:

Request a grant distribution through your DAF sponsor.
Be sure to use the JW House EIN # 20-2034560
Indicate whether your gift is unrestricted or designated to a specific cause i.e. a program, appeal/mailer, or general support. You can also designate JW House as a beneficiary for your DAF.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

Meet your minimum distributions and receive a tax benefit!

The Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is an excellent way to show your support for JW House and receive tax benefits in return. If you are an IRA owner and have reached the age of 70 ½ you are required to make minimum distributions.

Distributions must be made directly from a traditional IRA account by your IRA administrator to JW House.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions are excluded as gross income for federal income tax purposes on your IRS Form 1040.
The gift counts toward your required minimum distribution for the year in which you made the gift.
You could avoid a higher tax bracket that might otherwise result from adding an RMD to your income.
