As we kick off the new year, we welcome new leadership at JW House! Our new Executive Director, Richard Ajluni, joins the organization with fresh eyes and our new Board President, Stephanie Kavanagh, steps up as President after 3 years of service on our Board of Directors.
Richard joined our staff on January 2nd, 2020 as our new Executive Director. Richard has served in leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations, including Catholic Charities, Gardner Family Health, and most recently Tri-City Health Center in Fremont. He is a long-time resident of San Jose's historic Naglee Park neighborhood where he lives with his family. He is a graduate of Bellarmine College Prep., and San Jose State University. We are excited for Richard to share his nonprofit leadership expertise with JW House as our organization continues to grow!
Stephanie joined our Board of Directors as Secretary in January 2017, served as Vice President in 2018 and 2019, and was voted in as President starting January 1st of this year. Stephanie is a Regional Sales Manager at SUN PHARMA, and shares her many years of leadership experience and passion for philanthropy with JW House. Thank you Stephanie for stepping up as the new leader of our Board of Directors!
Additionally, we would like to welcome a new member of our Board of Directors, Matt Spencer!
Matt Spencer joined our Board of Directors on January 1st, 2020. Matt is the Vice President - Commercial Loan Officer for Heritage Bank of Commerce in San Jose, a long-time supporter of JW House. He and his wife, Kathy, welcomed their second child, a baby girl, over the holidays! We are excited for Matt to share his expertise in finance/accounting and technology with our organization!
